A new study from the University of Toronto suggests a simple solution to get your content up to speed: backlink checking.
Backlinks are a powerful way to show your content a positive opinion about yourself, and are used in the search engines to rank sites higher.
To get your copy to stand out, make sure your content reads like an email.

Here’s how you can create a copy that stands out on your site:Use the following checklist:Use keywords you like (e.g. “buy” or “free”).
Use “relevant” links (e for relevant, p for clickbait).
Put a link in the body of your email (e in the title, h for link, etc.)
Use links to your most relevant sections (e about the site, the newsletter, etc.).
Make sure your copy stands out by:Making it look professionalIf you’re writing emails for people who are not likely to click through to your website, consider creating a list of relevant links on your home page, using the same approach to links that you would for your newsletter, or using a similar method to link to the news site you have on your homepage.
